StaR Consortium Gathers for 12th Project Meeting at TU Clausthal

The 12th StaR consortium meeting took place at TU Clausthal, focusing on progress in stack design, digital twins, and electrolysis testing within the H2Giga project.

On June 3rd and 4th, 2025, we had the great pleasure of hosting the 12th project meeting of the StaR ("Stack Revolution”) consortium at the Research Center for Energy Storage Technologies (EST) of Technische Universität Clausthal (TU Clausthal).

The meeting brought together experts from HSRW, RWTH Aachen, OTH Regensburg, and WEW GmbH to discuss recent developments in the StaR project, which is part of the H2Giga flagship initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMBF).

Key topics of discussion included:

Material characterization

Stack design improvements

Digital product and fabrication twins

Market and cost analysis

Participants also had the opportunity to visit our alkaline water electrolysis test fields, including a demonstration of our shortstack test facility in operation, using a shortstack developed by WEW GmbH.

The collaborative spirit and technical exchange during the meeting reflected the project's strong momentum toward developing low-cost, high-performance stacks for alkaline water electrolyzers.

We are already looking forward to the final project meeting in November 2025 at WEW GmbH.
